"Brilliant staff member!"

My little girl has been waiting for a procedure for over 6 months and I called the department to check for any update and spoke to Lucy.

Wow! What a lovely and amazing person. Lucy couldn't give me any information, but immediately offered to find out anything she could and promised to call me back.

I will admit to being a little sceptical at this, but am very glad to say that my doubt was misplaced and Lucy not only kept her promise but even gave a further follow up call to check that I have the information needed. (One of the appointments clashed with another appointment with another speciality and this was no problem. Lucy even added a little note for me when the appointment letter arrived, reminding me that she had let the clinician know that we would be there a little late)

We can be very quick to highlight when things aren't how we expect and forget to acknowledge the staff that are a pleasure to speak with and do what they say they will and more. 

Thank you so much, Lucy - you have made this frazzled mum a little less stressed and allowed my little girl the time to be prepared for her procedure. A star employee for NHS Tayside 😊
