I attended the unit at Daisy Hill with my mother. We were looked after by a nurse from Lurgan who I believe was called Carol. She embodied what it is to care and went above and beyond what was expected of a nurse. She treated my mother with care, respect and dignity that was second to none.
Throughout the day she cared for both myself and my mother, she was very attentive, caring and understanding. She made me proud to be a nurse and it is people like her that made me want to choose this calling. I hope she is appreciated and looked after by the Trust as much as she looks after her patients.
Her abilities should not go unrecognised and I hope like many other great nurses she is made feel valued not just by the department but by the Trust as well. I hope that her gifts are seen and passed on to others that are lucky enough to work alongside this incredible nurse
"Incredible nurse who embodied what it is to care"
