My step mum was admitted to Blairgowrie Cottage Hospital, she was transferred from Perth Royal Infirmary for rehab following pneumonia and covid infections.
She was so well cared for here, the staff took time to really get to know her and made her last few weeks of life enjoyable, they went above and beyond to meet her needs and were very tolerant of everything she threw at them. They treated her with dignity and respect and showed compassion and genuinely cared about her.
Her health deteriorated, and the decision was made to make her palliative. The family's wishes were taken into consideration, and she passed away very peacefully with her family around her, just as she would have wanted.
All the staff were wonderful, but in particular Heather, Jean and Sophie were outstanding and really cared for the family as well as the patient. We cannot thank them enough, they truly are wonderful nurses, and the environment was so lovely and calming for all patients and a pleasure to visit.
