"I couldn’t believe how quick the whole process was"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I attended A&E at PRI after a bad fall left me in agony with my arm.  It was a Sunday afternoon and busy, however I didn’t have long to wait.

I was seen by a triage nurse within about 15 minutes and administered pain relief, and then seen by a nurse about an hour after that. The nurses were lovely, helping me get into a gown so I could go for an X-ray. I couldn’t believe how quick the whole process was.

I was told I had a fracture at the top of my right humerus and given an appointment to attend a clinic in two days time. I was so impressed by the staff and the speed at which everything was done. The lovely nurse even wheeled me out to the car where my husband was waiting.

The aftercare has also been second to none, with follow up appointments at clinics and more X-rays, with hardly any time spent waiting around and very helpful staff and a lovely consultant.

I’d just like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in my care. You were amazing!
