"Best thing I have ever done"

About: Lewis Manning Hospice Care

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 14 years ago and it knocked me. I withdrew myself from people, thinking why is this happening to me.

Then the Parkinson’s nurse was trying to encourage me to go to Lewis-Manning. Two nurses came to my home and arranged a date for me to start Day Hospice.

This was the beginning of the change in me. I have become more confident and believe in myself. It is the best thing I have ever done, and would advise anyone to do the same thing.
