"It lifts a whole weight off your shoulders talking to a professional about your worries "

It took me years to finally pluck up the courage to seek help. I always thought that my problems weren't big enough to receive therapy. I felt selfish and ungrateful for being unhappy. However, after being asked by a member of my family to get help, this made me realise I was affecting those around me which made me feel incredibly guilty.

I only had 3 sessions with IM, however I felt so much better just after the first. Talking to a professional about your worries lifts a whole weight off your shoulders as they don't know you therefore can't judge! They make you see things from a completely different perspective which enables you to think differently. Which is what I needed.

My main problem was not having a great relationship with myself. These sessions focused on improving this relationship. And with this, helping me to deal with all the other worries/concerns I have/had.

I understand that IM might not work for everyone. I was certain I was never going to try it. But when I finally stopped being stubborn and gave it a go, I realised it was one of the best decisions I've made!

Although my sessions are over, I still need to work a lot on myself and the 'tools' I've received from IM are helping me work a lot quicker.
