I have recently been under the care of staff In ward 7 after an operation done by Mr Pal. I’d like to pass on my thanks to my doctors, the wonderful anaesthetist, the theatre staff, the wonderful radiographers and assistants in CT and all ward 7 staff including doctors, nurses, health care support staff, and domestic/porters. The care and compassion showed by most was outstanding and put me at ease throughout my stay.
I would however like to pass on my concerns regarding one staff member, who was the one issue I had during my stay, I found this person's manner to be very unprofessional and in appropriate. No one wants to be in hospital unwell, but it is made even more difficult when the attitude of certain staff members is very negative and unwelcoming. I felt like I was nothing but trouble, and that they really didn’t want to be there. I understand the pressures everyone is under, but there is a level of professionalism that I feel needs to be maintained, and in this case, sadly, this staff member seemed unable to maintain this. It’s a shame one person can effect the overall experience of a truly wonderful ward with most of the staff being so caring and compassionate.
On a more positive note, thanks again to everyone for their care; and for getting me on my road to recovery.
