I had elective heart operation (stents) mid March last year. Everything was excellent including the rehab conducted by zoom over a period of time.
I found the rehab stimulating and very useful and in particular the dieticians input as I was very overweight.
I am therefore distressed to hear that the Western Trust are going to remove this part of the service as they feel sending out leaflets will be sufficient! I know what I do with most leaflets when they come into the house!
I feel this is a totally retrograde step and demands to be revisited. I do wonder how many of the decision makers have taken the whole rehab! It is extremely beneficial even though by zoom (covid related) but the whole personal touch was SO beneficial
I should therefore be grateful if someone would describe the rationale behind this and please do not say cost.
