"Her struggle is getting harder each day"

About: Royal Edinburgh Hospital / General Psychiatry

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was given help at the Cullen centre October 2021. She is gravely injured ill, and would have been admitted if it wasn’t for covid, she had allocated sessions, and unfortunately stopped after the max sessions .  Anorexia doesn’t stop in line with the max sessions! My daughter is in her early 20's and struggles every day, her gp has asked the Cullen centre if she could have more support, that was months ago, and have heard nothing. There is no other place in Edinburgh that can help this disorder.  I’m pleading for help as her struggle is getting harder and harder each day. Please help.

Dear Sculptordx79,

Thank you very much for sharing your concerns regarding your daughter and the care and treatment provided by the Cullen Centre at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.

I am very sorry to hear of your experience however, due to patient confidentiality I am unable to respond directly to any specific details of the care and treatment provided.

If you would like for us to fully investigate these matters I would ask that you contact the Patient Experience Team (PET) on 0131 536 3370 (between 9am - 2pm) or by email: feedback@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk who will be able to assist you with your concerns.

Many Thanks,
