This is general feedback for our local practice. They now have a very good system for answering calls. Automated advice on answering signposts patients to the relevant professionals - i.e. teeth/dentist; eyes/optician, etc. Then the automated system tells you where you are in the queue. Helpful. Easier to hold if one knows it will be your turn soon. Very responsive, professional, patient-centred care offered.
I would like to specifically mention Dr Mitchell, who in my experience and that of family members is extremely thorough, patient-centred, efficient, professional, respectful and friendly too.
The practice also offers Well Person appointments for those who wish to be more proactive about their health. An early intervention/prevention approach, helping patients as well as hopefully saving NHS resource - i.e. by dealing with potential issues before they become more serious and have higher resource implications.
The NHS is expected to operate within finite resources, not knowing who is going to walk through their doors with what ailment. Extremely challenging. Applaud the NHS for the job they do often in very difficult circumstances. Thank you!
