"Rehabilitation in DHH"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Physiotherapy Daisy Hill Hospital / Stroke Unit (Level 4) Memory Services / Occupational Therapy Services

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My stay so far has been great. The girls up here on the ward looking after us are amazing. They really are the best.

There have been days were I just don’t feel great at all but the staff don’t be long lifting your spirits.

We all keep each other going and have a good laugh with each other.

The staff are so good. They are very helpful, there is no question about it.

There is the odd few I find can be a bit sombre and don’t really converse very much. But 90% of them all are very upbeat.

I couldn’t complain about anything.

The ward is very clean. The staff that come in to clean have the place sparkling.

The food is nice. It can be a bit repetitive at times though. Maybe changing the menu up would be a good suggestion. But the cooking itself is very good. A Warm and filling meal.

I receive physio and OT every other day and the girl who takes me for it is very good, very helpful. She explains everything to me very clearly. I have found it very helpful.

Thank you for posting about your experience in Daisy Hill Hospital. I am sorry to hear that you were not entirely satisfied with the variety of menu choices. I will pass your comments on to the Catering Manager who regularly reviews the Patient menu and will take into consideration your feedback as part of the review process.

I will pass your positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of the Ward to the Domestic Services Team.

Best Wishes
