"Absolutely amazing and a total credit to their profession"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service

(as a relative),

My dad was unwell two weeks before Christmas, culminating in him becoming seriously unwell and  requiring an emergency ambulance call out.

The ambulance crew who arrived came from Patna, and were there in no time. They were absolutely amazing and a total credit to their profession. They were super quick at springing into action when they arrived and they had my dad assessed and in the ambulance within minutes.

During this they also managed to look after my mum and let her know what was happening, they were absolutely lovely and tried to keep things as calm as possible. When they arrived at the hospital, there was a queue of ambulances with patients waiting for admission, and my dad had to wait 2 hours before he got taken into the ED, which was a lot shorter than some and the speed of his admittance was mainly due to the diligence of the crew who were constantly monitoring my dad and alerting the doctors of his condition  when they felt it was necessary.

Throughout this they kept my mum informed and reassured, and were really lovely to them both. Thank you so much for your excellent care and treatment, you will never know how much our family appreciates everything that you did for my dad that night.

Dear de la plage

Thank you so much for getting in touch through Care Opinion to let us know about the care given to your dad by our staff.

I am really sorry to read about your dad being so unwell and appreciate this must have been an extremely worrying time, however I am so happy to read your mum and dad were kept informed along the way and I am sure this offered great reassurance.

I would be thrilled to pass on your kind words to our staff if I may? As all posts are anonymous, the only way we would be able to identify the staff would be if you contacted our team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your dads name, address and date of call out. Please may I kindly ask you do this and I will be sure to arrange this for you.

We wish your dad all the very best with his recovery and hope 2023 will be a kinder year to you and your family.

Thank you once again

Kind Regards

Lesley
