"Excellent care under immense pressure"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My father-in-law was admitted via the nias on Saturday evening, taken to UHD A&E Adult Resus, and unfortunately passed away. The care we received was above and beyond, they provided my father with a very dignified death surrounded by his entire family.  We were kept informed through the entire ordeal, the staff were friendly, courteous and empathetic.

Jenny, the deputy sister, was wonderful and honestly deserves a medal, it was obvious the department was under immense pressure and not once did this show when dealing with our family. The doctors were also incredible and kept us well informed, and we honestly are so thankful and grateful for providing my father-in-law with a very dignified death which we will remember always. Thank you.

Hi Emma98

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your family and your father-in-laws experience when in the Ulster ED especially at this difficult and sad time for you as a family.

I will share your very kind comments with the team and Jenny who will very much appreciate them. The pressure has been immense and rentless but it is reassuring to hear that despite this families and patients are well cared for by our exceptional staff.

Kind regards and sincere condolences to the family

Jenny
