Anything else?
On Saturday 22nd June, around 8pm , I suffered excruciating chest pain between my ribs. When it was constant after 20 mins, my daughter called an ambulance. This came promptly and the paramedic who attended me first and the two ambulance paramedics were excellent. However, when I got to Colchester General Hospital, I felt I was not treated with respec t in any way, which has left me with such a bad experience, I wouldnt like to be taken there again. I was in A & E five hours, getting there at 10pm and discharging myself at 3.30am as I was trying to get across I was my 88 year old mothers carer and she was home alone. In that time no member of staff reassured me, asked if I was still in pain, or let me know what was going on. I had 3 ecgs and two blood tests, the one taken at 2am and was supposed to be urgent, results not back by 3.30 which is why i discharaged myself. Today, I learned from my Dr that this blood test was spoilt.... so would have stayed there indefinately not knowing the result? At least my husband was with me, heaven help me if i had been alone. A truely scarey experience.....
