We were seen today at East Lothian Community Hospital by the most efficient and charming doctor I have ever met. My elderly mum has been poorly for weeks but her breathing was poor so I contacted NHS24. I was then given an appointment and we were met by the doctor who introduced himself, shook hands, listened intently and reassured us. He took his time and we didn’t feel rushed and my mum looked better having spoken to him.

He gave us a plan and prescriptions going over each medication I actually wish he was our family GP. I wanted to share this positive feedback given how hard it is at the moment for the NHS. Thankyou to all the staff from Nhs24 to clinician to head staff nurse to receptionist to GP. You have restored my faith and mum was so pleased and relieved with outcome.

Thanks for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. I'm sorry to learn your mum has been unwell and I appreciate this will be a worrying time for you. I hope her health improves soon.

The Doctor who managed your mum's care from East Lothian Community Hospital sounds as though he did a fantastic job in providing excellent person-centred care. Well done to him for leaving such a positive impression!

Thanks also for mentioning the staff here at NHS 24 who managed the call on behalf of your mum. It sounds as though we recognised she needed onward care and made the necessary arrangements.

It's great to read your faith has been restored as that is hugely important. Great also that your mum was relived. Thanks again for sharing your experience. We really appreciate you taking the time to do so.
