"Kind and reassuring service"

About: Belfast Health & Social Care Trust / GP out of hours

(as a parent/guardian),

My young daughter had a potential UTI and was symptomatic of same. I was unsure about ringing the out of hours GP as I know it wouldn’t be classed as a medical emergency and am very aware of how stretched and under pressure our amazing health care staff are.

The lady/receptionist who was on triage could not have been lovelier or more empathetic and reassuring which was a great relief.

I received a call back from a male doctor (I can’t remember his name) about 2 hrs later who was just fantastic. Not only was I reassured that I did the right thing by ringing but he stressed that if I had any further concerns over the weekend before my own surgery opens again, to not hesitate in ringing.

The kind and reassuring nature of both staff was much appreciated during the ongoing NHS crisis - thank you both so much from a worried mum!
