"No confidence in A & E department"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Came to A&E with suspected Heart Attack, waited approximately 20mins for an ECG, had one earlier by a Paramedics. They took bloods, put in a cannula and I was told to wait for a doctor to call me.  I sat back down in the waiting area and the tannoy kept saying the waiting time was around 1 hour 30mins.

Four hours later checked my blood sugars (Insulin Dependent Diabetic) reading was low and dropping.  My husband requested a glucose gel, but as I was throwing up they replied there would be no point and to leave it with them.  This was at 18:22.  At 18:55 they checked my sugars on one of their machines, did not clean finger before checking. The reading was not classed as low so I was sent back to waiting area. Asked when I would see a doctor and was told I had been transferred to a medical doctor so they work the wards as well as A&E so no time could be given.

Feeling very nervous and generally ill, body beginning to shake due to my low sugar levels.  I have no confidence in the department or the staff. Not sure what to do next or who to turn to.
