"Great Practice ruined by ridiculous booking…"

Let me start off by saying the doctors at this GP are fantastic and have never failed to be anything short of that. They are all wonderful people.

However, getting an appointment to see them is anywhere between a tedious chore and a downright impossible nightmare. You are completely unable to prebook an appointment and you have to phone on the day at 8am otherwise you are out of luck. If you phone up past 9am or god forbid it's a particularly busy day, there are no appointments left by the time you get through. At work? Sorry, no can do. Have other commitments that day? Haha, fat chance, call back tomorrow and play the appointment roulette all over again.

Of course, if you are sick and are trying to rest as much as possible, having to set an alarm at 8am in the vain hope of actually getting an appointment which isn't guaranteed at all, much less at a time that's convenient to you is a chore enough, especially if you're having to do it over multiple days because it's Winter, everyone's ill and everyone is phoning up faster than you to take all the appointments and with no way of actually booking an appointment even a day in advance. It is just appointment roulette.
