"Very disappointed "

About: Royton Medical Centre

Rang yesterday 3rd of January 2023. I have been told to contact the out of hours or 111 after that i have took my son to hospital got him checked i have been advised if my child get any more new symptoms or gets worsen to contact my gp so at 8 am i rang to be told you have to complete the e consult. I even said i will need help how to do it online then I've been told to do it my self so i Completed the form to be told that I have to ring the surgery. Rang the surgery to be told that I have to ring at 8am, and complete the e consult again and press options to sent it to the gp then i have tryd to do it again but it wont let me so i rang again The conversation went round in circles and waisted my time and got no help i had no sleep and stay awake to make sure i get help for my child did everything i can. The young lady then told me it may be better to ring 111 again as there are no appointments Absolutely unacceptable so disappointed putting us parents go through so much stress made the system so hard you have to go through somuch to get a appointment then at the end nothing got solved..

Dear patient,

Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that you've had difficulty making an appointment.

I'm the Operations Manager at the practice and I'd be happy to look into this for you. In order for me to look into the issue in detail for you, I would need some details from yourself. If you would like me to investigate this further, please send them to gmicb-old.roytonmedicalcentre@nhs.net for the attention of the Operations Manager. It would be helpful to have more information in order for me to understand why eConsult has not allowed you to submit an eConsult.

We have also recently launched a tutorial video to help patients with eConsult on our website, the link is https://www.roytonmedicalcentre.nhs.uk/practice-information/online-services/e-consult-user-guide/ , hopefully this might be of some assistance when you need to use eConsult again.

We take all feedback from patients very seriously and this will be discussed with the practice team.

Kind regards,

Royton Medical Centre
