"Feeling fobbed off in A&E"

About: Wexham Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

Arrived by ambulance with intense pain, had to demand pain relief multiple times (despite obviously in extreme pain) had to continually ask for updates as zero communication. 9 hrs later

I felt fobbed off when the doctor gave me a prescription of paracetamol (when morphene only slightly relieved pain) without even seeing me. I think this is absolutely disgraceful and I now have zero faith in this hospital.

Dear Broken NHS,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback about your recent experience in ED at Wexham Park.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the way you feel you were treated and the poor experience you had as a result. As I am sure you can understand, without knowing a lot more about the situation I am unable to comment further on your case and the incident you describe.

If you would like to escalate this please email fhft.patientexperience@nhs.net with more details about the incident and we will investigate this further.

Kind regards,

Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust
