My friend treated very badly by nurses on transfer from Charing Cross Hospital. Confined to bed and no pain relief allowed until she insisted a doctor be called. When I visited the next day I asked a nurse for some help to assist an elderly fragile lady to sit up and was accused of racism. Head nurse threw me off the ward when I complained. Took matter to PALS who dismissed my concerns and believed story concocted by staff. All in all a very upsetting and humiliating experience.
