"Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy"

Between November 2022 and December 2022 I underwent a series of 40 treatments at the National Hyperbaric Centre located at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This was an intensive series of treatments undertaken at a time of year when infections from colds, viruses etc are high and there were travel difficulties due to adverse weather etc.

I managed to complete my treatment without missing a day however. This was helped greatly by the care, compassion and friendship of the dedicated staff of doctors, nurses and technicians whom I got to know well over the extended period of my treatment. They were unfailingly polite, courteous, professional and exhibited a sense of humour which helped put me and my fellow patients at ease.

Most of the staff were ICU trained and their professionalism and knowledge was abundantly displayed on a daily basis. A rigorous treatment schedule was made much easier as a result. Any patient who is being considered for treatment at this centre should not hesititate to avail themselves of the opportunity.
