"Positive covid test and being extremely vulnerable"

Being classed as extremely vulnerable, I contacted my GP right away when I tested positive. Thanks to my GP, who was very helpful and works in Kensington Medical Practice.They got in touch with The Mater Hospital and I received a phone call from Dr. Gemma within half an hour. She put me at ease right away and outlined the options that were open to me regarding antiviral treatments, which due to my medical problems I was eligible for. She took time to fully explain the potential side effects, how I would obtain the treatment and gave me time to ask questions. The following morning she rang again first thing to see how I was and within an hour had arranged for treatment to be picked up from the Mater Hospital Belfast. The pharmacist in the hospital rang me within another half hour and told me the treatment was ready for collection. I cannot thank everyone enough for their help during this incredibly stressful time.
