"Female surgical fun"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward

(as a service user),

So far my stay has been very pleasant. The nurses and doctors are absolutely amazing. Extremely prompt coming to see me and very thorough with my medication, I have been so well looked after. The health care assistants are just angels. Always there if you need them. The support services are amazing. Always offering a wee cup of tea, especially some nights when I’m struggling to sleep they will come in and ask if I’d like a wee cup of tea and some toast.

The ward is always immaculate. There can be a slight draft coming from the window but when I pull the curtain round it blocks it out a bit. And the nurses brought me more blankets so it’s not too bad.

My only complaint would be I’d prefer the wards were back to male/female wards. But I understand with the pressures the hospitals are under its not just that simple.

Overall everything has been wonderful.
