"My Wathwood Journey"

About: Wathwood Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Since my time here at Wathwood i have had my ups and downs, but it seems like only yesterday, but it's been years and I have learned so much about myself and in knowledge, this in its self is part of a diploma in life on the road to recovery. Wathwood has supported me on this journey. Although it wasn't on good terms that brought me here to Wathwood I have found its my safety net during my stay here.

Having a good relationship with my tutors in education, craft and woodwork has enabled me to develop the skills to take with me when i leave here.

i also value my role as involvement rep which gives us patients a voice to help make a difference.

thankyou

Hi there,

Thank you for taking time to send us this feedback. It is good to know that having good relationship's with the Tutors has helped you and it also good to know you have developed some skills that you can take with you. I do understand what you are saying about a diploma in life on the road to recovery, Wathwood has always been a great place to rebuild confidence and help patients move on. It does sound like you are on the right track. Excellent.

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to send the post.

It is really appreciate and great to hear about your experience and how you are now doing.

I will pass on your kind comments onto the education and OT department.

Thanks also for being involved with the involvement team allowing the hospital and others know exactly what your experience is like and how we can keep developing our service to address the needs of all patients.

Good luck and let us know if we can be of any help in the future.

Thanks again

Phil
