Had to make an appointment for family planning at the Tamworth sexual health clinic as my doctor's could not fit me in.
Really lovely and welcoming , there was a male HCA , I think his name was Luke could not have been more helpful.
I had to give urine samples before I could be prescribed the contraceptive pill. He asked did I want to be screened for STI while I was there. He made me feel so at ease that I agreed. It was really quick and easy and he took the bloods himself, chatting all the time.
The doctor, Bethany, was brilliant, she talked through the options with me, explained that I could only have the pill for 3 months because of my age but booked me in for a mirena coil to be fitted in 3 months time. Then she called me a few days later to confirm that she had checked with the consultant and they had agreed to do it. Really helpful. Very non judgemental.
She also gave me condoms to use in the time between my pill running out and my coil bring fitted.
"Lovely and welcoming"
