About: North Devon District Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

After ongoing problems with eye closure due to cancer, I was referred to Mr Whittaker & his team.

I have had several surgeries, all of which have improved my condition and hence helped my confidence in public. This week I had further surgery and have, as always, been treated so well by all the team.

Everything was explained to me before the surgeries and opportunity for me to ask questions. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

My grateful thanks to everyone

Firstly a Happy New Year to you, and thank you for contacting our department over the festive season.

I will pass on your wonderful feedback to Mr Whittaker and his team, as well as our nursing support. I am sure they will be happy to hear that your surgeries have provided you with more confidence to be out and about, and that you felt supported along the way before your procedures.

Once again, thank you for letting us know your positive experiences with the ophthalmology department.
