My hip operation was at the end of November. I was made very comfortable in a side room staff were amazing my visit to Theatre was so reassuring and the staff including the Anethatist.
Mr Ballantyne the Surgeon was amazing made me feel like a human being and not just a number. But I was sent home day after my opp which I was taken back in the next day the pain was horrendous. But on returning to the ward I was put to the other end of the ward didn't like that one bit. Felt I was a nuisance and a hinder to the nurses
They do work hard I understand that but like night and day even though its the same ward. Couldn't shower myself, was given a towel so just had to stand at a sink with no plug and try wash myself was glad to get home.
