On each occasion when I have attended for my radiotherapy at the Beatson I have been extremely cold.
There doesn’t appear to be much heating in the room where the radiotherapy takes place considering that patients have to take off some of their clothing depending on where the radiotherapy is ( in my case I have to remove all my clothing from the waist up as I have breast cancer).
The poor radiographers hands are absolutely freezing and that is not pleasant when they have to put their hands on my upper body to get me into the right position.
The staff themselves are amazing and how they can put up with that level of coldness just amazes me.
That level of coldness may be acceptable on a warm summer’s day but in the middle of December it is totally unacceptable.
