About: Crosshouse Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I attended Day Surgery for cochlear implant surgery and stayed in overnight. The staff were absolutely fantastic and ensured that I  understood everything, despite being profoundly deaf and lowered their masks to ensure I could lip read and understand.

Dr Bonar, the anesthetist, and the 2 nurses were fantastic and kept me so calm whilst getting put to sleep, and Dr Bonar saw me post-op to check I was OK. 

Dr Killick ENT who did my surgery was amazing and explained everything in detail and checked on me several times the next day before discharge. 

There were so many nurses pre and post op care, I didn't get their names, but were so caring and professional.

Everyone is a credit to NHS, especially during challenging times. So thankful!!
