(as the patient),

Giulia was the nurse who conducted my pre-op assessment paperwork for my hip replacement operation and was very helpful, thorough and friendly. She gave me lots of useful information and made sure I had an opportunity to ask questions and told me I could call if anything occurred to me at home. Tracey was the nurse who conducted my ECG, MRSA, blood tests and BP, weight etc and distracted me as I was apprehensive about the blood test as it is always an issue finding my veins and I really dislike this. But Tracey did it all so quickly that I could not believe how easy she made it for me. I went home feeling reassured and confident about the level of care I am about to receive when I have my operation in a few days as hopefully the two ladies I saw are examples of how good the staff will be during my stay.

I am pleased to hear that Giulia and Tracie made you feel reassured and confident about coming in for your hip replacement. I am happy that Giulia was very helpful, thorough and friendly during your pre-assessment, and also that you were provided with lots of useful information, it is very important that we ensure you are fully prepared for your admission.

Furthermore, it is also very important that we give you the opportunity to ask any questions, I hope they were all answered for you. As Giulia said, you are more than welcome to contact us at any time if you need to.

I am delighted that Tracie was able to make taking your blood an easier experience for you, I myself do not like getting blood taking, so it does help when you have someone who is quick and efficient.
