"Fast acting and efficient"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

We attended A&E with our 1-year-old son, as advised by 111. The staff were fabulous with our fussy and very unwell boy! After excellent care for a few hours, we were sent to Ward 1C for further observation.

After blood tests and a few other observations, the team were fast acting to arrange further care, which included being blue lighted to the Royal Hospital for Children.

At one of the scariest moments in our life and as first-time parents, this team were exceptional and so caring. Our son was no easy patient in his unwell state (between being fussy and poor venous access), and the staff were all pros!

I can’t thank everyone who was involved in my sons care that day enough. The hospital should be proud of them all!

Dear fionad11

thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. this must have been a stressful time for you and your family. I am delighted to hear that our team provided care that reassured and supported you all.

I wish you and your son the best of health during this winter and will pass this on to the teams that cared for him

kind regards
