I have struggled with my mental health for a long time. I struggle with it in my daily life due to my mental health disorder and I feel it holds me back in a lot of things.
I have been coming in and out of the Bluestone Unit for a long time now, it has been the only place I really feel truly cared about when I’m going through my worst states. I always feel valued and cared for and feel safe here. I don’t attend often, however when I do I receive what I need.
I can’t emphasize how much I am treated as an individual and not a just a number or an issue to be solved. Massive thanks specifically to ongoing care from all the nurses but also Dr Campbell who has helped me greatly at times, too.
The other staff members I have come into contact with have also been amazing. Have been suffering with my mental health lately, and my doctor has provided me with amazing support the last few weeks. She listens to my needs, provides extra support and guidance where appropriate, and I know I can speak without being judged.
"I know I can speak without being judged."
