Early November my husband slipped on wet leaves and damaged his right arm. I took him to A & E at about 20.00 hours, he had an assessment by a triage nurse within 5 minutes of arrival, he was sent to Urgent Care where he was seen by a Nurse Practitioner within 10 minutes, she checked him, gave painkillers and sent him for an X ray, then back to the Nurse Practitioner who was very efficient and reassuring. She gave him a collar and cuff sling, painkillers, leaflets and an assurance that the Orthopaedic team would be in touch in the next few days. We left the hospital 2 and a half hours later. Fantastic service.
Two follow up appointments a week apart were face to face appointments and X rays and again conducted efficiently by a Nurse Practitioner who was very experienced and reassuring.
This all seems very good practice and you are to be congratulated for this. Well done.
"Very good care at the hospital after slip on leaves"
