"Colorectal nurse specialists"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Endoscopy University Hospital Ayr / Gastroenterology

(as a relative),

I just wanted to praise the colorectal nurse specialists at Ayr hospital.

My husband unfortunately had a cancer diagnosis and from the chat in the endoscopy unit to the consultancy after surgery I can honestly say I felt looked after and confident that someone was looking out and going above and beyond on our behalf.

I had lots of questions for Rosemary and they were answered sensitively and in a way we understood.

I am pretty impatient and phoned a few times and always got a polite, professional and friendly response, and reassurance from Rosemary and Stephanie.

They visited him in the ward and ironed out a few issues - but the best bit is that when we got him home we knew we had a back up and Rosemary seemed to know when we needed reassurance and phoned us regularly, we would not have got through this without these wonderful nurses, and I feel that they don’t get praised enough for their hard work .
