"I feel more positive now"

About: General Practices in Grampian

(as a service user),

I turned up for my appointment early, and was taken by the nurse straight away. She was lovely, finished with the nurse and straight to the Dr, who listened to me, discussed several things - mainly the menopause and the many symptoms - and  made a plan for going forward.

I do feel more positive now that I will get back to where I was pre-menopause and the pandemic

Well done.

Dear Luckywiccan,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Despite the menopause being discussed much more openly then it was a few years ago, it still takes a lot of courage to make that call to the GP and talk about how it’s affecting you. Well done for taking that step. I’m delighted to hear the nurse and the doctor listened and helped you start a plan.

Most of the GP Practices in Grampian are independent contractors with a separate feedback and complaints system. They are not currently registered to respond to feedback through the Care Opinion system and don’t routinely access the feedback shared, but I think it's important they see this to know how well they did. If you'd like me to help with this can you please send me the name of the practice by email; kirsten.dickson@nhs.scot or by phone/text: 07885720267, or alternatively you can forward to the practice manager directly.

Take care,

Kirsten
