"Not able to see a doctor"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

I asked to book an appointment with the doctor to have my implant removed due to a health concern, so I rang to request this and was denied and appointment as they said I needed to have a phone appointment with the nurse first. I agreed, but the earliest appointment was 4 weeks away and then cancelled the night before and rebooked for another 2 weeks. I spoke with my GP and tried to find somewhere else to have the implant removed but this service is the only one that does it, so I’ve suffered with a health issue for 6 weeks because they won’t book me a doctors appointment. I don’t even need a reason to have the implant removed, but I’m being forced to sit on the waitlist for a phone appointment that I don’t even want before they will consider booking me a doctors appointment to have it done, suffering the whole time

Dear Paparc86,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on the service you received, I am sorry that we have fallen short of your requirements and expectations on this occasion. We are currently reviewing the way that our appointment system runs, and it would be helpful to talk to you further about this. Please would you contact me on jennifer.jones@mpft.nhs.uk to arrange a time that is convenient for you for me to call you?

Once again please accept my apologies, and I look forward to speaking to you.
