"Labour suite"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I went into labour, and I was transferred into the labour suite where my midwife was Kyley. On entering the labour room, I was immediately made to feel calm with the mood lighting and quietness. Kyley explained what would happen and this helped to put me at ease.

My labour lasted roughly 3-4 hours, and I felt calm and in safe hands throughout. Kyley kept my husband and I well informed of how things were progressing and encouraged me when things got tough. She did a great job of involving my husband and making him feel involved in the process.

My husband cut the cord and then we were left together to enjoy the golden hour with our new baby boy. We cannot thank Kyley enough for safely delivering our baby boy.
