"maternity nightmare"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

I had my second child here a few months ago and will never ever return! I was told awful things during labour. it was completely unsatisfactory. I felt my baby was in the birthing canal and felt the urge to push. I was yelled at by the midwifes who said to my partner "I dont know why shes doing this shes not contracting and she's goingvto kill the baby". a minute later a consultant was called who said the same thing until sge checked between my kegs and realised babys head was almost out! 30 sec later my baby was out to the amazement of the staff. they should have listened to me in the first place! a truly traumatic experience. also I was sent home witg no checks to ne or baby even though he was 3 weeks early and induced. we were re admitted with severe jaundice n a massive drop in birth weight. finally, I was induced n suppose to be checked at 10 pm. this did not happen till 2 pm!
