I was admitted here with acute mental heath difficulties, and left in a similar (if not worse) state, after a rapid deterioration. Although there are many staff who are genuinely helpful and caring, an unfortunate few very much spoil it with their poor attitudes, uncaring nature and lack of adequate knowledge and understating. The facilities are far short of satisfactory and the ward environment was not aesthetically pleasing, nor 'homely'. I feel that the care and environment was inappropriate for my needs, and I wish that I'd never agreed to my initial admission.
