My second visit after a biopsy confirming a melanoma on my back - this time for an excision in Day Surgery. (On same-sex accommodation this is provided within the hospital but not necessary for Day Surgery) The doctor and every member of their dermatology team gave me excellent care throughout the operation and afterwards. They all deserved the highest praise - 100% in every aspect of care. (It was a nice extra surprise to have such a good companion nurse to talk to throughout the operation! Not to mention being spoilt with coffee and toast afterwards back in a very comfortable bed) In general, Dorset County Hospital has always been very welcoming and helpful during all my visits over the years. The particularly good design with very pleasant little garden areas does help in this respect. I would recomment this hospital on all counts. Parking can be a problem but have found it better in this respect than most other hospital I have visited bar private ones. Difficult to see how this could be improved in fact.
