It is with great sadness that my beloved mum Pat or Pricilla passed away on Saturday night. The staff in ward 18 were the most amazing, respectful, caring and courteous people I have ever met. The room was spotless and when making mum comfortable they even sprayed her favourite perfume on her (well beyond the call of duty). These days when you hear nothing but horror in the NHS I felt I had to let you know my mums story. Thank you ward 18 with all my heart. Pats daughter Linda and her sister Barbara and family

Linda, we are really sorry to hear about your loss, and would like to offer our condolences to you, your Aunt Barbara and the rest of your family. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us your positive experience of the care your Mum received on Ward 18, especially as we appreciate that this must have been a difficult time for you all. We will ensure that this is fed back to the Ward Matron and her team and they will undoubtedly be appreciative of your kind words.
