Anything else?
My father has had a 1 month stay recently after a fall and resulting complications. Over this time he has spent time in a number wards, including ICU. In general I have been very pleased with the all round care he has received. The staff on the ICU ward are fantastic - they are constantly on hand to give you information and let you know exactly what is happening, why and what the plan is. When he was moved to a more general ward I feared the level of care and attention would decline, but apart from a few minor incidents I have been very pleased with the care he has received. All the staff from the auxiliaries serving the meals etc right up the ward sisters and doctors have shown compassion, care and a very friendly nature. If you ask questions they make the time to come and let you know exactly what is going on and while they are very busy it is not very often that this has shown itself in the level of care given.
"Alround a good experience."
