A few days ago I dislocated my shoulder and needed to have this re-set. I went into the Bristol Royal Infirmary A&E department for this and was then sent home with another appointment to have a further look at my shoulder in a few days time. I was sent home with a cannula in my arm and was told not to remove it.
Yesterday I had to call the ambulance as the cannula must have been pulled out in my sleep. There was blood everywhere.
I live in a flat on the first floor - the telephone operator told me to stay on the phone while I went downstairs to open the door. By the time I got back to my flat the ambulance had got there, it took less than two minutes!
Sally Williams and her crew did a fantastic job, they cleaned up the bathroom where there was a lot of blood, cleared up my bed and left the room all neat and tidy.
The service they provided was out of this world. I just wanted the ambulance staff to know how much I appreciated the way they treated me.
"The service they provided was out of this world."
