I was given an explanation of the procedure by the surgeon, and all went well. I have only praise for the care I received from everybody - I especially appreciated the theatre nurses and anaesthetist who chatted and kept up my flagging spirits (whilst waiting for the fire alarm to stop ringing!) prior to the operation.
