I was recommended by my midwife to give birth at St Mary's as my pregnancy was low risk.. It was my first pregnancy and I was very apprehensive about there being no doctors should anything happen. My husband and I went along to St Mary's at 36 weeks to have a look around and chat with a midwife and we were instantly assured and satisfied that this would be the best place for our baby to be born. When our baby decided to make an appearance in the early hours of New Years Day, all the ladies at St Mary's were fantastic from the second we arrived. We were lucky enough to have a water birth and our son arrived just 6.5 hours later without any complications. I stayed in for two nights and the aftercare was equally as fantastic as the care during the birth. I have since recommended ST Mary's to friends who have also gone on to give birth there and experienced the same level of care as I did. Please don't close this place down!!!!
"St Mary's was excellent!"
