I have been referred to the Single point of access service in hull following a referral from a psychologist treatment, I was also referred to a service in Leeds.
Following the interview from Single point of access detailing depression, and other issues including, willingness and attempts to take my own life I was referred to a counseling service and received a letter stating I am on the waiting list even tho they can not do psych evaluations for the service I am under.
after waiting 5 months I decided to get in touch with the counseling service where they informed me I refused service when I did not so I have to see if they will allow me to be placed back on the waiting list.
I don't know if its me or the NHS but I felt similar hardheartedness when I saw Physio in Hull for the 2 sessions I had where the therapist told me to take my shirt off did not look at me then said that theirs nothing wrong with me, after complaining they said they will refer me to pain management, after a few months I rang and asked whats going on and they did not even refer me.
Later on after seeing some proper professionals it turn out I have spondylosis and will never get better just rely on morphine patches to regulate the pain.
BUT on the good side I found the pain management service very very professional and very efficient in there way of working and the general feeling I have now under there care is that I matter and they have a caring and supportive manor in which they work. best service in the NHS in my opinion.
