Anything else?
Recently my 81 year old mother was taken by ambulance to A&E with chest pain and shortness of breath, we arrived 2.30pm it was 4pm before she was seen by Dr and connected to monitor. He eventualy made a decision to admit her to ward A10 a further wait and we eventualy arrived on ward at 7.30pm. Ward Dr did not arrive until 11.00pm to do the admittance, The ward and Dr were told no examinations or questions were to be done without my presence as my mother has dementia and is incapable of understanding or giving correct information, at 12.30pm I left for a few hours to get my own medication and was told Dr would come at 8.00am. I returned at 7.30am to find Dr had been and questioned and examined her without my being present. He made a diagnosis based on miss info and would not accept that I knew more about my mothers condition and symptoms at admission, He then discharged her and decided he was more interested in her umbilical hernia that she has had for 27 years with no problems, I then had to argue for a heart monitor app to be made to check since she has had valve replacement and bypass surgery 8 years ago. I would not recommend this hospital now as there service/care levels have dropped through the floor in the last few years,
