I was moved to the Freeman hospital ward 12, from North Tees with an acute pancreatis I was bedridden for 2 weeks, staff where very considerate. I had 7 endoscope procedures over the time I was in. staff on ward 22 where fantastic. A week later I was moved to ward 6. the staff on ward 6 where welcoming and put me at ease... I was on ward 6 for a further 5 weeks. I was put under the dietician as I couldn't swallow food. Then an feeding tube was inserted. The consultant and his team kept me informed of every step of my care. A pain nurse came to talk to me about how to manage the pain I was in and what was the best way forward to ease that. If I needed to speak to one of the consultant's team they where always there to answer questions.. The CT scanning team talk you though every step of the procedure also. I'm back in the hospital on the 10th June to have my gall bladder removed. On a whole I would recommend the Freeman Hospital, also if you have any questions do not be frightened to ask, they will always answer to the best of their ability.
