"I had quadruple bypass heart surgery ..."

About: The London Chest Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had quadruple bypass heart surgery in this hospital.

From the minute I arrived in the ward my treatment was the best I could have expected. I have nothing but praise for the doctors, ward sisters and staff nurses in particular, but especially for the surgeon who eventually, did my operation. Not that I can say anything against the ward's nurses, they on the whole were very competent, but the others I have mentioned were outstanding. I very much doubt that I would be alive today were it not for the care and treatment I had in this hospital. The six weeks I was cared for here could not, in my opinion, have been bettered in any other.

What could be improved

The only drawback to my stay was the experience of being moved from one ward to another at a moment's notice. One of those moves, for me, having had adverse consequences. I understand why it is done though the criteria for doing so, isn't always, it seems, soundly based. Just a trifle less hurried decision making is required.
